Assumptions About Me: What’s True and What’s Not

People often make assumptions based on what they see online. From real estate to motherhood, hosting events, and showing up on social media sometimes it looks like everything is perfectly managed behind the scenes. But the truth is more layered.

Today, I’m sharing a few of the things people have assumed about me and the real story behind each one.

I Love Red Bull

This one’s 100% true. Red Bull is my go-to. Whether I’m running between showings, packing kids’ lunches, or prepping for an event, a little energy boost helps keep me moving through the day.

I’m Highly Organized

I love systems. I love color-coded calendars. I love the idea of everything having a place. But here’s the reality: I can’t put things away unless they have a “home.” If something doesn’t have a spot, it just stays out until I figure it out. That can lead to piles (especially after moving into a new space), but it’s never from a lack of trying. I aspire to be highly organized. I just want to do it right.

You’re Confident and Outgoing

Sometimes. When I’m hosting something I created like my events or Women in Business I feel confident because it’s my space. But attending events I didn’t plan? That can be hard. I completely understand when people tell me they want to attend but feel nervous. I’ve been there too.

You’re Successful

Success looks different to everyone. I may not be on a national list, but I get to pick up my kids after school. I get to work from home, support my community, and build meaningful connections. That’s the version of success I’m choosing right now and I’m proud of it.

You’re Passionate About Your Community

Absolutely. I grew up here in Ukiah. I watched my mom create the things we needed like helping bring the skate park to life and I’ve always believed that we get out what we put in. That’s why I stay involved, organize events, and promote local happenings. Change starts with action, and I love being part of that.

You Have Great Taste

I like to think I have my own sense of style. I don’t always follow trends, I thrift, I mix and match, I do what feels like “me.” Whether it’s getting dressed or staging a home, I try to create comfort, not just aesthetics. Comparison is real, but owning your own taste matters more.

Your Job Is Glamorous

It’s not. Real estate comes with spider-covered lockboxes, smelly clean-outs, and a lot of behind-the-scenes work that’s not glamorous at all. But it’s rewarding. I get to help people find home, and that makes the not-so-pretty parts worth it.

You’re Not Approachable

This one breaks my heart a little. I know when people see someone often online, it can feel like they’re out of reach. But if you’ve ever watched a video or read a post I’d love to meet you. Say hi, introduce yourself, send a message. I’m here for you, not just on a screen.

Let’s Stay Connected
