Breaking Down the Cost of Living in Ukiah: A Day in the Life

by Kasie Gray

Good morning! It's Kasie Gary, your realtor, Ukiah's know-it-all mom, and today I'm going to take you for a day in the life but the cost of living edition!

So first off, it's our Friday. After we are done getting gas, she doesn't have daycares today. She only goes Monday through Thursday. S, Friday's like our mommy and Tegan day where we just do all of the things. We probably are going to spend more money than we typically would especially with her out of school her daycare is $50 a day. Monday through Thursday so there's that and then we're about to get gas and then go get some breakfast and then go to gymnastics and some other things that you'll see. So come with us to see what we spend in a day!

I don't have a full tank. I just was tired of waiting. So, parking downtown is free and there are private lots that people pay permits for but they are free from three to five if there are any spots available in those parking areas, then you can park there and a lot of the streets are one and a half hour to five hours. So plenty of places to park and it's free!

We just went to Llamas and got two breadsticks and a cookie in this community and it was twenty dollars and I didn't have chocolate chip.

Baby Gymnastics it's located in the Rose industrial park and they have an open gym from 10 to 11 on Fridays and then they have open gym on Tuesdays from nine to ten it's a great little fun way to get some energy out and spend 15 so that your kid can throw a fit!

We went to  U-top It and got ice cream for three dollars and we went and ate it at labels and didn't buy anything. So that's great and then we went to a packing show and had some snacks there and didn't buy anything, so that's great! Then we went to a dinner at Patrona and spent a hundred and thirty dollars after tip so that's also great after gymnastics. We went to lunch at Ellie's with our friends that go to gymnastics with us and we did split that bill so that was only twenty dollars.

Then we took a nap which is free and then we stayed at home for the rest of the afternoon and did dishes and laundry and all of those things and of course those cost money but I'm not gonna do the math because I'm lazy but you can figure out based off of your bills and how much that would cost you to do three loads of laundry in a full sink of dishes. So then we're headed out to go to a fashion show and do some other fun things!
