Favorite List of Events in Ukiah! | Life in Ukiah | Unlocking Ukiah

We have a long list of my favorite events in Ukiah and we're gonna chat about them now!

Hi, my name is Kasie Gray, I'm a realtor, a broker associate, mom and I love helping first-time families find their dream home but I also love all things Ukiah and helping people love where they live. So we're going to talk about the events that happen in Ukiah. That is reoccurring and a little bit of a scoop on them though. I don't have the exact dates of when they are going to be happening this next year, the year after that, or the year after that. Hopefully, they are still there for many years to come so let's get into it.

First up we have the farmer's market which is a beloved favorite it's on Saturdays the time's change due to winter hours and summer hours. You can find more info on Facebook and I'll link it down below. We have the June fair and the August Fair both are wonderful events to attend. My favorite part of the fair is the boat races where they put a bunch of old boats on old cars and they crash into each other this last year it was pouring rain and I had never seen so many people in these stands attend such a site and there's no covering in two of the stands but they were both fully packed all into some clips of it because it was wonderful.

And talking about the fair, we also have the speedway. they typically do races on Saturday nights and will sometimes do fireworks. So I love having that resource if you have never visited the races. It is quite a fun little event to attend during the summer event when it's not too cold. Then we have a few events put on by the city of Ukiah Recreation Department that happen each year.

Moonlight movie Madness plays a large screen movie in different areas it was previously at the same park but they've been switching it around. I'm not sure exactly what they'll do next but it is a wonderful free activity for your family to attend. They also do a Fourth of July in the park where they serve hot dogs have the pool open and have jump houses and other fun activities. They do community yard sales and they also put on Sundays in the Park which is a free concert series that happens on Sundays in the park Todd Grove Park they bring different artists and allow them to perform. They have a ton of seasonal events larger events, and smaller events and you can stay up to date by getting their free resource guide for that season. They are a wonderful part of our community to have and to put on such amazing events on top of that we have the greater tourism and business alliance of Ukiah.

They put on several events which include downtown trick-or-treat the end-of-summer show shine classic car show and several others. You can find out more information about them on their Facebook page or their website. I'll leave some links down below and all of the events that they typically put on are wonderful. I hope to see some new ones from them soon.

Then some not-so-large events, I mean they're large events, but they are you know smaller but have been frequent is a chili cook-off which is put on by Granite for a fundraiser for the Boys and Girls Club of Ukiah. Then we have Taste of Mendo which is put on by the wine growers association and they host several different Wineries and businesses and people can come to taste Mendocino.

Then of course, we have the ice skating rink the trolley the light parade, and Pumpkin Fest oh I forgot about Pumpkin Fest sorry. Pumpkin Fest is another event that the city of Ukiah puts on and there are a ton of recurring events that happen each year that I look forward to. A ton of different local wineries put on shows each weekend and that just kind of depends and changes seasonally or they do craft fairs. I know Testa and Largo Ridge have done a few.
