Gift Guide in Ukiah this Holiday Season! | Gift Cards, Recreational, Gym classes, and more!

If you're looking to gift something that is not tangible and won't cause clutter in your beloved ones, then this is the perfect video for you because I'm going to be giving you a long list of things to gift locally this holiday season that people will be happy to get and not have to take up a large spot in their living room! Like a toy caterpillar. I don't know who would gift somebody a toy caterpillar. I'm not speaking from experience but nonetheless, let's get started.

Hi, my name is Kasie Gray! I'm a realtor broker associate a mom who lives and works in Ukiah and my goal here on this Glory old YouTube channel is to just help people love where they live. So let's get into my long list of things to gift this holiday season if you are looking to be more conscious with your gifts and less clutter.

First up, we're going to start with love local Mendo. So what is love local mendo? It is a website where you can buy a gift card, you can print it out, can email it to them, or can put it in a frame. You can do whatever you want and you can choose any amount that starts with a minimum of five dollars. So, it's great for the little nephew that will be happy with an ice cream trip or your mom who needs to spend some big dollars on labels. This gift card is essentially a MasterCard and it can be accepted at any of the businesses that sign up. There are a lot of businesses that are on love local Mendo, everything from recreational to wineries to eateries and so much more. What it does is helps keep our money local so instead of buying a Visa gift card where we can spend it anywhere.

They can spend it anywhere on the participating list which like I said a long list and helps our local economy the business owners get the money automatically. So, there's no waiting around you don't have to spend the whole amount at the one store you choose. You can spend it in several places which is a great feature to have. I have received love from local Mendo dollars and it was a wonderful experience as a user and plan to gift it this season as well. Since we're talking about gift cards, let's also talk about restaurant gift cards, bookstore gift cards, clothing boutique gift cards, nail, and salon gift cards, and lashes, hair, tanning, and teeth whitening. There are so many types of gift cards that you can get people that they will happily use on possible services that they already are doing. You know, a facial a massage you really can't go wrong. I will have some of my favorite service providers link down below and like I said love welcome Mendo is a great place to find out what boutiques are around but a stroll downtown or any of the other participating businesses. You truly cannot go wrong with a gift card.

Everybody always asks what you want for Christmas, I don't know, I buy everything that I want for Christmas, if I wanted to wait for Christmas, then I don't need it probably. So just give me a gift card!

Next up on my list is a family photo shoot or single portrait, whatever it might be, it might be a little bit out of your single-person budget but if you come together with family members and can gift that that would be a huge thing. I'm sure a lot of people would be so thankful for and there are a ton of local photographers that are amazing. I will have some links down below. I recently hosted a party where I gave all my clients free photo shoots and it was wonderful!

Next up on my list are gym passes, lessons, classes, and recreational activities you can find my list of gyms in Ukiah on my YouTube channel and on my website but UVAC offers swim lessons it offers classes. It offers day passes, paying for a membership for a month but I'm sure takes a huge weight off of a lot of people like I said, they offer swim lessons for the littles at UVAC and at the city of Ukiah.

You can find all of the city of Ukiah classes that are offered at recdesk.com and they have a great community. Any program where you can go pays for classes and dog training lessons. I'm sure you know somebody that needs those Zumba all sorts of things. Other Fitness classes, like CrossFit or line dancing country, Fusion yoga classes, and Pilates, there are so many things that are out there and in the community that will make not only your mind healthy but your body healthy. I highly recommend gifting some of those.

Next on the list is for all ages from little to big but memberships classes ballet classes. I've seen some girls on Tiktok that are adults going to do ballet classes now that they're adults and can't afford it. But how fun would it be to get your girlfriend, some ballet classes, or even just sponsor a niece or a granddaughter, and then gymnastic classes?

For stars gyms they have toddler classes you can do, you know, buy a class pass or just buy a couple of classes for somebody, and then they have longer-term teaching programs for the older kids which would be a great gift to give this holiday season. Then for maybe the adults or the people that are looking to get rougher and Tumble. We got a gun club membership, Next Level gaming credits, and ax throwing credits that are for 12 and up.

Then of course we have a movie theater and the Ukiah Players theater tickets that you can gift. I know the Regal Theater does like 20 a month for unlimited movies so that would be a great find you can do a yearly pass. So if you know all the grandparents want to go in together that would be a good one and then Ukiah Players Theater doesn't have any active shows right now, but you can buy gift cards to support our local theater game. You can also pay for golf memberships which is a bit pricey if we're not talking about children or Juniors but you can also book tea time.

So if you know somebody that loves to golf you know schedule a tea time take the day off and go out and spend some time together. So those are some of my recommendations for you know activities in the area that are local close by that you can do frequently for a bit more of a splurge and a drive we have the Orr Hot Springs which is on Orr Springs Road and then we have Vichy Hot Springs which is out Vichy Springs Road.

If you've never been to the hot springs literally they're Jack London's favorite place and you live so close to them, so just go pay the money and go visit the hot springs. Just do it! Just try it out! Also, you could pay for somebody's wine club subscription there are a ton of different Wineries and I know it's super fun to try out different wineries. So go sign your friends up for wine club memberships and for a bit more of a drive.

There are a ton enough things to do on the coast we've got Noyo River rentals. You can rent a kayak you can do horse rides in the forest or the beach kayak River rentals run from about forty dollars and up horse rides about 70 dollars per person which is a steal of a deal and then there are skunk trains. Both Willets and Fort Bragg and they both offer rail bikes so make sure to get that experience in while you can.

Of course, if you're really trying to splurge on a staycation because you know, you don't want to go too far but you want to stay close and you want to just be able to relax so I highly recommend Thatcher Hotel, the stock Farm, Testa ranch, Yoko ranch there are some great places on the coast that you can stay at. I highly recommend visiting Mendocino's website to find out all of the lodgings that are available that would be a super fun gift to give somebody a sleepover over party. Send your wife there by yourself. If you're the wife that's watching this, probably because my following is like 97 women, then do that for yourself!
