Places to walk and hike in Ukiah
One of my favorite activities to do is go for a walk. You can check my apple watch if you want to be friends just let me know but one of my favorite things to do is go for a walk and where can you do that near or around Ukiah like six places to walk in a town and so we're going to get to it right now. Hi, my name is Kasie Gray your homegirl broker associate in Ukiah, California and I love helping sellers buy homes. So what I am talking to you today about is not real estate it is about Ukiah and my favorite places to walk and go for a little mini-adventure.
Starting with the most flat spot is the great Redwood trail. It's almost five miles long but the goal is for it to be much longer I love walking on it because it's flat, you know exactly where to go you can park in one spot and walk there and back and it's super convenient. If you're walking around downtown and want to get to either a northern location or a southern location.
My next favorite on the list is probably the Oak Manor neighborhood. They have like a nice little spot where you can just kind of loop around the roads are a little rough depending on if you have a stroller and what type of stroller but I do love walking on Oak Manor just because it's super quiet and flat and it's just like a nice little circle.
My next favorite spot to walk that's super flat is the west side so whether that's Dora Street or Butch Street or any of those streets over there depending on what streets the sidewalks are a little iffy but if you walk around enough.
You can get to know what areas you like and don't like and get a little path going some more trailey like destinations are Hendy woods and Montgomery woods both are national parks and you don't have to pay to get into but they are a little bit more of a drive than some of the ones I mentioned before, but both have wonderful serene views.
Going for a walk at the Lake Mendocino Dam and going over to the spillway is super fun and challenging.
And then on another note, a challenging walk is hiking up to the "U", you do that via low gap road logout park and the city view trails and technically you're not supposed to come all the way up. So, I don't do that but if you were to want to do that you can go over to my Tiktok because I didn't post a video over there.
Anyways, I would love to know where you love to walk. If you have any questions about walking or what type of trails are ideal you can always visit ukiahvalleytrailgroup.org and they have a different or they have a map that shows you all the different trails in Ukiah area and it will show you if they're family-friendly or not and I mean you know, family-friendly is as friendly as your family is. And they also show you exactly where to walk where to park and how long it is and we'll help you with the switchbacks and all of that. So, I love using Ukiah Valley trail group as a resource. They don't have to get to the "U" because it's not allowed. And I do love Ukiah valley trailgroups.org so go visit them. I'll post a little preview of their site and kind of how it works you can choose to navigate through the different areas or just based on the area as a whole. So, I highly recommend Ukiah valley trail groups.
If you have any questions feel free to dm me on Instagram but thank you so much for watching my video and if you are interested in going for a walk you can join Ukiah stroller gang on Facebook and we'll see out there. Thanks so much for watching and can't wait to help you with all of your real estate needs!
