Todd Grove Park: Ukiah's Central Hub for Fun in the Sun

Spanning a large area on the west side of Ukiah, Todd Grove Park is a true community hub. It boasts a fantastic two-section play structure, with a newer section perfect for challenging climbs and adventures. Plus, there's a dedicated picnic area (currently undergoing renovations with partial covering!), making it ideal for family gatherings.

But wait, there's more! Todd Grove Park is also home to:

• Sparkling Pool Complex: Beat the Ukiah heat with a refreshing dip in the park's swimming pools, complete with a water slide. They even offer swimming lessons and host pool parties!
• Summer Safari: Keep your kids entertained with this exciting summer day camp program held right within the park.
• Vibrant Events: From community yard sales to lively concerts in the park, Todd Grove Park is a constant source of fun activities.
• Recreational Options: Organize volleyball leagues with friends or enjoy a scenic walk through the park.

A Mom's Perspective

While Todd Grove Park offers a plethora of activities, I do have a few things to consider as a mom of young children. The lack of fencing around the play areas and the sheer number of people can sometimes feel overwhelming for little ones.

However, the park shines for older kids! The new play structure provides a thrilling challenge, and the open space allows for plenty of running around. Plus, the park caters to accessibility with a dedicated handicap swing.

Beyond the Playground

Todd Grove Park offers more than just play equipment. Take a break under the shade of mature trees, relax on a bench, or explore the historic rocket ship – a beloved landmark since 1927! There are also clean restrooms readily available.
