• Raley's: They offer a convenient pick-up service for $5. You can pay online or with cash when you arrive. Selection varies, with some items more affordable than Safeway and vice versa. They have a bakery, deli, pharmacy, and floral department.
• The Grocery Outlet: This bargain hunter's paradise is perfect for grabbing deals on snacks, frozen foods, and wine. However, since their stock changes frequently, you might need to supplement your shopping at another store.
• Safeway: Their pick-up service is quick and efficient, with same-day options available. They have a wider selection than some stores, including the specific yogurts your picky eater craves. They also offer a pharmacy, floral department, bakery, deli, and sushi counter.
• Walmart: Yes, Walmart now offers pick-up! However, fresh produce selection can be limited. The store has recently been rearranged and is cleaner, but self-checkout requires a Walmart Plus membership (a source of frustration for some Ukiah shoppers!).
• Costco: Ukiah's Costco is known for its calm atmosphere compared to its Santa Rosa counterpart. They have fantastic deals on fruits and bulk items, perfect for families. Just be mindful of the "Costco effect" – buying things you don't necessarily need because of the large quantities.
