Quick Tour of Oak Manor Park | Ukiah, CA
If you are in Ukiah, whether you live here or visiting here, and want to know which park you should visit, you're in the perfect place because I am going to be reviewing all of the parks in Ukiah. How clean they are, the atmosphere, the shade, the park, items, I don't know what you really call those things, and so much more, and the capabilities and the possibilities that all of the different parks in town have. You can also find more information in my guide to Ukiah which will be in the description, as a link to it, but if you want to know more about the Oak Manor Park, this is the perfect video. So I'll stop talking and let's get started right now.
Hi, my name is Kasie Gray, I'm a realtor, a mom, and I've lived in Ukiah my entire life. And when you live somewhere your entire life, you kind of stop exploring it, like maybe a tourist would, and you see things in a different light. I had a daughter, this is Teagan and obviously, I want to make sure her life is full of fun memories like mine was, and so I just wanted to go out and take a look at all the parks so we can explore together. So that's what we're going to do today. We're at the Oak Manor Park. As you can see, there is quite a lot of flat grass area on both sides. It is neighboring the Oak Manor School. They have a covered spot where they have picnic tables, and then they have an uncovered picnic table area as well. This park is watered by recycled water, so be cautious of that, it's a great resource that we have when it comes to watering our parks. And golf course and such.
It is 7:21 in the morning and it is June 24th. Sun is pretty much out all over the park. I'm under the covered awning and it is very nice. There are three barbecue pits, a water fountain, and a ton of trash cans but I do still see some trash, about a ton of confetti, either from a birthday party or something. My note is that if you're having a birthday party don't have confetti in the park, you know if you want to do it in the comfort of your own home then whatever but I feel like it's rude to do it in a Park.
They do have tennis courses and this is where you'll get access to the walkable way over ramp. What else? We're gonna go explore the park a little bit and play around overall. I feel like this is a great park there are porta-potties for a bathroom. I'm not sure I would participate in that. It is walking distance to a gas station, Starbucks and burger king. I mean, it's walking distance to a lot of places but specifically, those are on this side of the freeway.
And then the Oak Manor Neighborhood and I have a video of the neighborhood tour and stats up on my YouTube, so go watch that. I think that's most of it but we'll go explore and let you know our thoughts afterwards. We're gonna go down a couple of slides.
I don't understand where the money is to like constantly get new parks not a ton of baby stuff. I mean, that's like my height. What do you think? When I got the stairs, even the stair is like, I don't know, if the grass or the things are slow but I feel like a big step paint is you know coming off with chips like everywhere which to be expected. The slide looks like it's had a couple of replacement parts, I don't know what this contraption is but I guess like a rock wall situation, where you're supposed to go through. What you're doing, we've got a rope wall rock climbing. It's like very high tech on that side and not so high tech on this side but nonetheless we shall play nice.
